Service Service is recruiting for an experienced QHSE Engineer to join an established engineering and manufacturing business at its Norwich site.

This is a hands-on role supporting the development, implementation and maintenance of the site’s integrated Quality and Environmental, Health & Safety management systems, ensuring continued compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

You will play a key role in driving quality, compliance and continuous improvement across the site, working closely with production, manufacturing engineering and management teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and maintain the integrated Quality and EHS management system.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements.
• Facilitate and host external ISO audits.
• Monitor customer quality performance and drive improvements in defect rates.
• Lead the investigation, root cause analysis and closure of Non-Conformances (NCRs).
• Lead and facilitate FMEA activities across new and existing product lines.
• Work with Production and Manufacturing Engineering teams to identify and reduce quality risks.
• Act as a key point of contact for overall product quality, escalating significant issues where required.
• Support product compliance and external audit requirements.
• Train and coach employees on Quality and EHS policies, procedures and standards.
• Take an active role in continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen activities.
• Participate in Daily Management meetings, driving problem solving and improvement activity.
• Work closely with site management and wider business teams to resolve critical quality and EHS issues.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience in a QHSE, Quality or EHS engineering role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• NEBOSH qualified.
• Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, including audit experience.
• Strong understanding of quality systems, NCRs, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Experience with FMEA and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Previous Lean Manufacturing experience.
• Confident communicating with employees, management and cross-functional teams.
• Able to influence and engage others without direct line management responsibility.
• Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgement when dealing with difficult situations.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
