Our client is a prestigious and long-established publication business famous for offering a wide portfolio of products across their diverse customer range.
Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director, the Sales Manager will be responsible for achieving the sales revenue targets in place for the financial year.
£30,000 - £35,000 + Commission.
Monday - Friday
The Sales Manager will also be responsible for growing the business from these portfolios through the proactive management of the customers. This will be achieved by focusing on establishing targets and objectives for each customer, supporting and motivating them to increase sales of all the titles.
The Sales Manager is responsible for two Sales Executives who they will help support and motivate to increase sales through their own list of customers across the world.
¦ To develop a full understanding of current reseller/partner network and assess strengths and weaknesses
¦ To manage and motivate the reseller and partner network to ensure that they are supported in their markets with up to date information on products and initiatives within the portfolio
¦ To ensure that the marketing materials each reseller is using is up to date and complies with agreed guidelines. To promote and support local language materials where possible
¦ To ensure that the resellers are supported with timely deliveries of stock and to ensure that supply chain employ suitable packing and delivery methods to reduce returns
¦ To manage each customer against agreed revenue and discount levels
¦ To achieve agreed revenue
¦ To work closely with the Marketing team, the Client Services Director and the internal teams to ensure the revenue and objectives are met.
¦ To attend the appropriate conferences and events to meet the resellers and partners.
¦ Contribute to the development of sales and marketing plans.
¦ Analyse sales data and spot trends
Key Skills and Interests
¦ Have at least 5 years of sales experience within a publishing environment
¦ Have experience of selling publications internationally
¦ Be highly motivated and goal oriented
¦ Capable of succeeding in a challenging and competitive environment
¦ Be comfortable working in a team and be prepared to get involved in all aspects of the sales process
¦ Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
¦ Be well organised
¦ Ability to motivate people
