Reporting into the MD you will organise and improve the production of the full product range which will help to meet increasing customer demands and keep the company’s enviable reputation for service and quality.
You will also be a huge part in the expansion of the business and take control of the new production process that will be implemented to improve productivity.
In brief, responsibilities of the role include;
Align and lead the operational team
Manage ongoing performance and development of direct reports
Develop and implement the operational plan
Manage the availability of labour against production plans
Through analysis of performance data, identify performance gaps, trends and opportunities
Work closely with all internal and external stakeholders
You must have experience of managing production teams in an engineering environment and have thorough knowledge of modern manufacturing and engineering processes (the manufacture of 'large product' experience is preferred) and the ability to work with steel.
You will have proven ability of project based work, perhaps having implemented a project and seen it through to the end or taking the responsibility of the running of projects
