My client is a Financial Planning Professional with over fourteen years experience working as an Adviser and several more in the Financial Services sector. Located in a small market town North of Norfolk he is supported by two part time admin staff but desires someone to join him either as a Trainee or experienced Financial Services Administrator with the ambition to become a qualified Paraplanner.

My client is a very down to earth and friendly employer who is honest and polite, he acts with integrity and as such is a key part of his local community, he genuinely cares for his clients and holds family values that are evident in how he conducts his business.

If you are either an aspiring financial services professional with some experience in the sector either in retail banking to working in a pension call centre, maybe you already work in an IFA practice and want to become a Paraplanner then this role could be for you.

If you are inexperienced then you will be trained to carryout the role providing my client feels you have the correct personal attributes.

Salary - up to £24,000 DOE

Key skills

Relevant experience of working in an IFA environment is preferred
You may have attained some Financial Administration qualifications or are working towards them
You will have effective use of IT including, Excel, Word, Outlook
You will be client focused, able to provide excellent level of client service
You will have good written and oral communication skills at all levels, high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all areas of work


You will process administration queries relating to all financial planning areas such as Pension and  Investments
You will carry out all client administration in line with office procedures.
You will deal with client queries (non-advice issues).
You will ensure new business is packaged up timely & accurately including the preparation of appointment packs
You will check Policy documentation/acceptance terms
You will liaise with the Adviser in relation to client work
You will maintain compliant client records in the office electronic folders and on the back office system

Hours of work are 9-5 Monday to Friday with some flexibility, 25 days holiday, discretionary bonus.
