My client is an independent financial planning practice based in Norwich, but covering clients nationwide, currently looking to bolster the advice team by adding a new Financial Planner to the business.
As a boutique practice, my client provides independent advice across a diverse range of cases including Pensions, Investments, Protection, IHT, Tax & Retirement planning.

The suitable candidate will need to work independently with confidence with the possibility of some remote work with flexible working available.
About the business

My client uses market leading back office systems, fully integrated with research tools, client portals and electronic signing.

The charging structure allows advisers to offer full advice to their clients and not just the areas that they are paid in, relationships are with client and not their money.

Advisers can offer clients advice whether or not it leads to the involvement or ‘sale’ of a product. My client ‘sell advice’ not products.

Strong relationships are in place with professional connections that generate some leads so the successful candidate would be expected to show some initiative in this area.

Advisers can be confident in the support team in place. They are hand-picked, well trained, well qualified and experienced.

Duties will include:
• Contacting clients and setting up meetings, either within an office environment or in clients’ homes or business premises;
• Conducting in-depth reviews of clients’ financial circumstances, current provision and future aims;
• Helping clients understand the nature of their relationship to their finances and help them make decisions in their best interest
• Help clients establish their goals and objectives where they need guidance
• Analysing information and preparing plans best suited to individual clients’ requirements;
• Researching the marketplace and providing clients with information on new and existing products and services;
• Designing financial strategies to help clients achieve their goals and objectives;
• Assisting clients to make informed decisions;
• Researching information from various sources, including providers of financial products;
• Liaising with other professionals, such as accountants and solicitors;
• Keeping up to date with financial products and legislation
• If not already chartered work towards that professional status

This is a full time, employed role that will be varied.

The Required Skills:
• Level 4, ideally working towards level 6
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience at advice level
• Experience using Intelligent Office (I.O) would be advantageous but not essential

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £45,000.00 plus per year depending upon experience, qualifications and serviceable client bank. Candidates with fully portable client banks will attract higher paying salary.
