Calibration and Service Technician
This role is certainly much more than the title might imply and will provide you with an interesting, challenging and varied role in a market leading business here in Norwich.
The position requires you to provide correct maintenance, care and calibration at specific intervals on a certain range of electronic products to achieve the highest possible reliability and accuracy; the goal being to improve accessories/calibration/training sales and service growth in the UK & Ireland linked to the products and solutions.
The role is responsible for customer care through technical support, inspection and calibration. You are responsible for managing incoming and outgoing service requests covering the calibration, inspection and repair of equipment as well as developing service growth, with a proactive approach to customers.
Fully inspect and test instruments returned from customers and end users.
Correctly and accurately calibrate the units.
Manage all assets – booking in, traceability records, logistics and product shipping.
Effectively resolve application and technical questions for customers.
• Manage the Service Engineers and hire equipment
Maintain stores and inventory levels.
Assist in organizing and maintaining the workshop
Help drive continuous improvement within department and Health & Safety procedures.
Proactively contact customers and actively manage reminder programs to drive revenue.
Own customer satisfaction and ensure we deliver excellence in customer service.
Utilize and maintain the CRM system to report, monitor and understand gaps to service targets, then take corrective actions.
Analyse and manage productivity, make recommendation and process improvements.
Answer customers request, perform and send quotations.
Assist the sales coordinator with ordering and invoicing management.
You will need to be okay with very very occasional travel, possibly abroad.
Training is provided on the products and the role itself, but you must have some form of engineering experience, business administration or equivalent, along with excellent communications skills.
